Presentation Guidelines

This page gives the guidelines for:

  • Oral Presentations

  • Poster Presentations

  • TIC Presentations

  • Private Roadmap Presentations

 

Oral Presentations
  • A PC/laptop will be available for the authors to check their presentation. Presenters are advised to check in this area well in advance whether their presentation and/or formulas/animations are shown correctly. 
  • All authors are requested to upload their presentation on this laptop, 30 minutes before the session starts. The laptop will contain a folder with the session name. 
  • Presenters should be in their session room 20 minutes before the session starts, to meet with the session chair, who should be near the stage/lectern.
  • Presentations should be in MS PowerPoint or Acrobat pdf. Presenters are allowed 20 minutes for the presentation, including questions. Chairs will give a 2-minute warning to wrap-up. 
  • Use of standard True Type fonts is suggested for PowerPoint presentations. In the case the ppt contains a video or animation, please ensure that both files (Power Point and video - MPG AVI) are in the same folder. 
  • As a baseline, presentations from personal laptops are not allowed, to ensure a smooth programme running and to minimize transition time between presentations. 
  • Presenters are invited to complete their biography in their profile. The session chairperson will use this biography to introduce the presenters.

 
Poster presentations
  • For each poster abstract, one poster board in portrait format is reserved. The dimension of the poster panel is 120 cm width x 180 cm height (portrait style). Push pins will be available at the registration desk. 

  • A dedicated poster session is scheduled during the symposium. Posters will be on display during the entire symposium. 

  • Authors are invited to be on stand-by close to their posters, also during the breaks.

  • Authors are requested to mount their posters starting from 08h00 of the first day of the sympoisum and remove them by 17h00 on the last day. Posters not removed by 17h00 will be disposed of.

  • Presenters at the poster sessions shall bring their own printed posters. It is not possible to print a poster on site.   

  • Authors are strongly encouraged to produce a proper poster rather than using multiple sheets of A4 paper.   

  • Authors  will  be  assigned  a  number  corresponding to the associated board.  Please refer to the corresponding table displayed next to the registration desk.

 

TIC Presentations
  • A PC will be available to check the TIC presentations. TIC Presenters are advised to check in this area well in advance whether their presentation and/or formulas/animations are shown correctly. 
  • All TIC Presenters are requested to upload their presentation on this laptop, 30 minutes before the session starts. The laptop will contain a folder with the session name. 
  • Presenters should be in their session room 20 minutes before the session starts, to meet with the session chair, who should be near the stage/lectern.
  • Presentations should be in MS PowerPoint or Acrobat pdf. TIC Presenters are allowed 7 minutes for the presentation. No questions are allowed.
  • Use of standard True Type fonts is suggested for PowerPoint presentations. In the case the ppt contains a video or animation, please ensure that both files (Power Point and video - MPG AVI) are in the same folder.

Private Roadmap Presentations
  • No PC/Laptop will be available for the private roadmap presentation. Presentations from personal PC/laptops is advised.

  • Meeting rooms with a capability of 20 people are available. A big screen is available for connecting PC/laptops.

  • Manufacturers are given 30-45 minutes for the roadmap presentations, including interactions.
